The official NSFAS accommodation rate for 2026 has not yet been announced. This rate is typically confirmed by the Minister of Higher Education in collaboration with the Minister of Finance around mid-March each year.

In the meantime, your lease will be signed based on the 2025 NSFAS rate plus an estimated 4% increase, which we believe may reflect the likely adjustment for 2026. Once the official rate is announced, your lease will be automatically updated to match the approved NSFAS accommodation allowance.

This approach ensures full compliance with NSFAS guidelines while protecting you from out-of-pocket payments due to rate uncertainty.

NSFAS covers your accommodation costs for a sharing room, which includes rent, utilities*, Wi-Fi*, and access to all communal facilities. Private rooms may carry a top-up cost and are subject to availability.

You may still apply to stay at Burgers Park. We will issue you a conditional lease, and once NSFAS finalizes your funding and merchant linking, your lease will be confirmed from your move-in date. We work closely with TUT to manage this process and avoid disruptions.
